Joelle Hancerli Harunzade was born in Istanbul in 1982, studied industrial product design at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy.
“Ottoman Empire; Traditions, Culture & Design…” is the graduation thesis she has written and the product designs inspired from it took attention by press. She moved to New York in 2005, started working with well known designer Karim Rashid. She created her own company profile in 2006 by participating for the first time Istanbul Design Week. She awarded by EDIDA Turkey (Elle Decor International Design Awards) in 2007 as “Young and Talented Designer of the Year” together with her “Flip” bench design. She was one of the finalists of IYDE (International Young Design Entrepreneur) competition in 2008.
She continues her work as creative director of office & design furniture department of the family company NEOTEK. NEOTEK EVENTS was founded by her in 2012, which gives rental design furniture service from private to corporate events. She designs accesories & product design for corporate companies, gives design consultancy and also as a FF&E design buyer service. Continues her work as a freelance designer based in Istanbul and Dubai, participates design & art exhibitions internationally.
